Discipline & Termination (2 SHRM – HRCI Credits)

In this combined course of discipline and termination, you will learn:

• About a clear and proven method for handling employee discipline called Progressive Discipline. You’ll learn the 5-step process for progressive discipline, essential tools for documenting and communicating discipline, and some of the important legal concepts impacting the employment relationship.
• How to navigate the challenges and pitfalls of employee termination. We’ll discuss the differences between voluntary and involuntary termination, factors to consider when making a termination decision, and laws that impact employee separation. We’ll also go step-by-step through the process of preparing for a termination meeting, conducting the meeting, and communicating staff changes to the entire business team.
